Bipartisan House bill proposes alcohol-style federal rules for hemp THC beverages

The Beverage Regulatory Parity Act would preserve federally legal hemp THC drinks through a three-tier distribution system, a 5-milligram intoxicating-THC serving cap, federal permits, mandatory testing and labeling, and an 8-cent-per-milligram excise tax. It is only a proposal, but Oklahoma beverage manufacturers and retailers should model its compliance and pricing impact because it offers a concrete alternative to the scheduled federal hemp-product ban.
