California reports $8.4 billion in cannabis taxes and major warehouse seizure

California says legal cannabis has generated nearly $8.4 billion in tax revenue since 2018, including $261.7 million remitted in the second quarter of 2026. An August warehouse action also recovered about $13.3 million in illicit cannabis and tobacco products, offering Oklahoma operators a benchmark for the tax and enforcement scale of a mature regulated market.
