DEA issues first federal registrations to more than 900 medical cannabis dispensaries

The Justice Department said DEA issued initial federal registrations to more than 900 dispensaries in seven medical-only states after pre-registration investigations. Oklahoma operators should note that state licensure alone does not confer federal status and that registrants face separate security, recordkeeping and inventory-control duties.
