Federal hemp THC beverage bill gains fifth House sponsor

The bipartisan Beverage Regulatory Parity Act gained a fifth sponsor as Congress considers an alcohol-style federal framework for hemp THC drinks, including a 5-milligram serving cap, testing, labeling and an excise tax. Oklahoma beverage manufacturers and retailers should track the bill because compliant products would be exempt from the pending federal per-container hemp limit.
