Federal surveys show U.S. teen cannabis use at historic lows

The Dales Report reviews federal data showing 12.9% of high school students used cannabis in the prior 30 days in 2025, down from 23.1% in 2011, while past-year use among ages 12 to 17 fell to 8.7%. The trend does not prove legalization caused the decline, but it gives Oklahoma operators and policymakers evidence for evaluating age-gating, prevention and regulated-market claims.
