Hemp composite matched polystyrene insulation performance in laboratory testing

Researchers reported average thermal conductivity of 42.46 mW per meter-kelvin for hemp-stalk and mycelium composites, comparable with 42.94 for conventional polystyrene, though the hemp material was much heavier. Oklahoma hemp growers and processors gain a potential construction-material outlet, subject to durability, moisture, and commercial-scale validation.
