Nevada studies replacing wholesale cannabis tax as prices fall

A Nevada tax study found flower prices fell about 50% from 2019 to 2025 and modeled eliminating the 15% wholesale tax while raising the retail excise rate from 10% to 12% to 15% to preserve revenue; lawmakers have not adopted the change. Oklahoma operators can use the analysis to evaluate how tax design, price compression and unregulated hemp competition affect cultivator margins and consumer prices in a mature market.
