Senate Democrats reintroduce federal cannabis legalization bill with 280E and banking changes

Senate Democrats reintroduced the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act, which would deschedule cannabis, end Section 280E restrictions, establish federal excise taxes and FDA/TTB oversight, expand banking access, and prevent the scheduled federal recriminalization of many hemp THC products. The proposal is not yet law, but Oklahoma operators should track it because passage would reset tax, labeling, banking, hemp, and interstate-commerce rules across the industry.
