Texas reinstates Schedule I definitions, cutting off delta-8 sales July 31
Texas DSHS reinstated Schedule I definitions for tetrahydrocannabinols and marihuana extract effective July 31 after the Texas Supreme Court dissolved an injunction, bringing manufactured delta-8 THC and similar intoxicating hemp derivatives back under controlled-substance rules while preserving the state hemp exemption. Oklahoma hemp and cannabis businesses selling into or sourcing through Texas should audit SKUs and update distribution and compliance controls before the cutoff.
