Virginia Officials Defend New Hemp THC Limits Against Industry Lawsuit

Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger, Attorney General Jay Jones and state regulators are defending an industry lawsuit seeking to block a rule that, beginning Aug. 15, generally caps consumable hemp products at 2 milligrams of total THC per package. Oklahoma hemp and cannabis operators should watch the case because its due-process and transition-period arguments could influence challenges to abrupt product-limit changes elsewhere.
